Ted Nugent praises Lawrences Hunger Games hunting form

 

 Jennifer Lawrence had been praised from all corners for her "Hunger Games" performance -- even rocker/bowhunting enthusiast Ted Nugent has chimed in.

Nugent, a member of the Bowhunters Hall of Fame, loves how realistically Lawrence carries herself as bow-wielding Katniss Everdeen in the movie. Apparently, Lawrence hit the bull's-eye with the performance.
"All of us archers and bowhunters are so very happy to see real honest-to-God archery form being displayed properly for a change," Nugent tells USA TODAY. "Proper archery is one of life's most beautiful ballets, especially when executed by a beautiful woman like Jennifer."
He adds, "It makes for the ultimate eye candy."
Lawrence trained extensively with 4-time Olympian Khatuna Lorig prior to filming. "I had no choice but to be good," she said. "I was working with an Olympian."
Lawrence continued shooting 100 arrows a day throughout filming to make sure she stayed sharp. "I didn't want to get rusty," she said. "You can't let your technique go to hell."

Former ‘American Idol‘ winner Carrie Underwood and current ‘Idol’ judge Steven Tyler will team up yet again. After performing together at the ACMs in April 2011, Underwood and Tyler will give it another go and attempt to recreate their onstage electricity and magic as part of the ‘CMT Crossroads’ series on Super Bowl weekend.

Country and rock music are on a collision course in Indianapolis, which is the host city of this year’s game, in case you don’t pay attention to those sort of things.

According to a press released issued by CMT, ‘CMT Crossroads: Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood Live From the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam’ is set to air on Saturday, Feb. 4, which is the day before the big game.

This is the second year in a row that ‘CMT Crossroads,’ which mashes up artists from different genres, will broadcast from the Super Bowl festivities. We’re expecting Underwood and Tyler to go all out and to make it a night and a performance to remember, especially since there is so much entertainment happening around the Super Bowl. They will want to stand out as a “can’t miss” mashup.

Taylor Swift: ‘I Don’t Ever Feel Like the Cool Kid’

In a new interview in the February issue of Vogue — Taylor Swift's first turn on the legendary fashion mag's cover — the 22-year-old country-pop star has just one word to describe her teen years.

"So . . . middle school? Awkward," says Swift, who grew up in Pennsylvania, first on a rural Christmas tree farm and later in a wealthier suburban area. "Having a hobby that's different from everyone else's? Awkward. Singing the national anthem on weekends instead of going to sleepovers? More awkward. Gain a lot of weight before you hit the growth spurt? Awkward. Frizzy hair, don't embrace the curls yet? Awkward. Try to straighten it? Awkward!"

And despite her current fame, all those Grammys, lots of big paychecks (oh, and even a Vogue cover, her "awkward" past is still hard to shake. "I think who you are in school really sticks with you," Swift admits. "I don't ever feel like the cool kid at the party, ever. It's like, Smile and be nice to everybody, because you were not invited to be here."

And like so many stars with a squeaky clean image, there are those waiting in the wings for her to stumble. Swift explains how she often gets questioned by reporters about when she's going to start "stumbling out of clubs" or have some sort of "scandal or meltdown."

"As time has gone by, I've gotten that question less and less. I think, for me, the bigger pitfall is losing your selfawareness," the singer explains. Even though I am at a place where my dresses are really pretty and the red carpets have a lot of bright lights and I get to play to thousands of people . . . you have to take that with a grain of salt. The stakes are really high if you mess up."

She might sound like she's got it all figured out, but Swift — whose dated celbs including Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, and Jake Gyllenhaal admits: "I think I am smart unless I am really, really in love, and then I am ridiculously stupid."

She's had a few well publicized breakups (Jonas dumped her over the phone a few years ago, while Gyllenhaal broke up with her just before Christmas 2010), and now has a list of red flags when it comes to men — like when a guy doesn't feel the need to get to know her and relies on what the media's said about her, anyone who's obsessed with privacy, a boyfriend threatened by the fact she needs a security team, or someone who puts her down a lot "to level the playing field." (That one kinda' seems like a given.)

The 5'10" blonde insists she's not dating anyone currently, and in the meantime, she's working on her fourth album, which draws on past romantic troubles. "There's just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak," she says, "and that will turn out to be what the next album is about. The only way that I can feel better about myself—pull myself out of that awful pain of losing someone—is writing songs about it to get some sort of clarity."

Review of the book The Thing of Ours by Cammy Franzese

This book I originally was hesitant to get because I do not know if I was going to like it or not but when I found out it was a true story I ended up wanting it. And reading a fellow blogger's review on booksneeze.com helped me decide I wanted to read it.

This book is about how a girl falls in love with a man and he turns out to be working in the mob and ends up going to jail during her marriage and how she copes with taking care of the children and how she handles her man in jail. The book ends with both of them finding the word of GOD and Jesus and changed their life around. I really enjoyed the stories they put in the book and I read in about 3 days. Normally I read books faster but I got busy in life, lol.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants just a great book to curl up on the couch and read and just want a book to get into and take you away from life.
